Hairdressing and barber business owners
Overview
This questionnaire is for people who own a hairdressing and/or barbering business in New Zealand. This includes all types of businesses in all types of settings – from people offering services in their own homes to those with multiple salons or barber shops.
In answering this questionnaire you may find it useful to refer to Ministry's website page about the review which includes its scope, as well as the Health (Registration of Premises) Regulations 1966 and Health (Hairdressers) Regulations 1980.
Why your views matter
This review is looking at the regulatory systems that apply to the hairdressing and barbering industry. The review will look at the suitability of the current rules, which were established in the 1980s, to the scale of the current industry while ensuring public health is protected.
By giving us your feedback you can help us to identify the areas we need to consider as part of this work.
Thank you for participating in the review process.
